BC PNP Allocation Only 4,000 Cases

This news was posted on the BC PNP News site today.

The federal government has allocated only 4,000 cases to BC PNP this year, which is less than half of last year's number.

The BC PNP's surprise is evident on their news page.

Due to the reduction in allocation, they are planning how to operate BC PNP in 2025. They also mentioned that this will affect the BC PNP draws and the opening of the international student stream.

However, they emphasized that the Health Authority Program and the Entrepreneur Stream, which proceed regardless of the draw system such as ITA, are continuously operating.

The outlook for BC PNP this year is predicted to be surprising and difficult, judging by the allocation numbers. Those who were planning only for BC PNP should consider checking other immigration programs, moving to another province, or considering studying as a period to take a break while aiming for Canadian immigration after the general election.

Moose Jaw – RCIP Start Date Delayed

The new Regional Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) program, which is a follow-up to the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) that was implemented until last year, is being gradually announced this year.

Yesterday, the 18 communities participating in this immigration program were announced.

Ontario has the most with five communities, British Columbia has four, Manitoba has three, and Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, and Alberta each have one community selected.

Today (31st), a notice was posted in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, which was selected as one of the 18 communities, stating that they cannot start the program yet. You can check the notice at [13](https://www.moosejawrnip.ca/).

Although the federal government designated Moose Jaw as one of the 18 communities for the RCIP, Moose Jaw has not yet raised the necessary funds, so the immigration program cannot start at this time, and candidates cannot apply for this immigration program.

They mentioned that they will provide specific updates on the start date of the immigration program as soon as the funds are raised.

Since last year, it has become increasingly difficult to obtain Canadian permanent residency, and the RCIP can be seen as another hopeful immigration program for Canadian permanent residency.

Hopefully, Moose Jaw will raise the funds soon, and this immigration program will open.

However, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is still relatively easier compared to other provincial immigration programs.

The federal immigration office has announced the specific details of the RCIP, and we will provide further guidance as soon as this information is organized.

✨ LMIA Approval – Cook ✨

The LMIA for the Cook position in Vancouver, BC has been approved.

It was approved after 24 weeks of submission.

Considering the current trend of the LMIA process, this was a relatively quick review. The reason is that the LMIA was submitted along with the REP application.

Congratulations! 🎉🎉

Submission: August 15, 2024

Result: January 29, 2025 (Total 24 weeks)

Position: Cook – NOC 63200

Location: Vancouver, BC

Due to recent changes in government regulations regarding LMIA, cases submitted before the changes were still being interviewed as before. In this case, approval was granted about two weeks after the interview.

Currently, for GS's clients, cases submitted in April and May without REP are being reviewed, and results are starting to come out. There have been significant delays.

Work Permit Result Update.

We are excited to share the news of a work permit approval for one of our GS clients. 👀

After receiving the LMIA approval, we submitted the application as quickly as possible. The work permit was approved in just 14 days after submission~!!!

Congratulations!! 🎉🎉

🚩 Timeline

Submission: January 10, 2025

Result: January 23, 2025 (14 days after submission)

This client was a Study Permit holder and applied for the work permit immediately after receiving LMIA support. The application was submitted online, and the work permit approval was confirmed within two weeks.

It is important to note that there are many cases where work permit applications submitted after LMIA approval have not yet received results. Therefore, while this case is promising, GS cannot guarantee the same quick results for every case.

However, this is undoubtedly good news for our GS client and the employer eagerly waiting for the work permit approval.

For successful immigration to Canada, it is essential to have experts who can quickly adapt to continuous changes. We will guide you to permanent residency with the most accurate judgment tailored to each client's situation.

📢 25.1.23 Express Entry Draw – CEC Targeted Draw

Following the first CEC-targeted EE draw on January 8th, there has been a second draw.

Details announced this time:

  • Cut-off score: 527
  • ITA issued: 4,000

The Cut-off score remains high. However, compared to the last time, the number of ITAs issued has increased by more than 2,600, resulting in a lower passing score.

As mentioned in the previous post, last year, an average of 2,650 ITAs were issued for CEC-targeted draws, with a maximum of 6,300. Considering that this year, priority will be given to candidates with Canadian work experience, it is expected that more ITAs will be issued for CEC this year compared to last year.

It has certainly become more challenging, but for those whose goal is Canadian permanent residency, the opportunity will come if you do not give up.

GS will guide you based on reality and facts. Rather than a negative attitude, we will provide analysis and opinions on the progress towards Canadian permanent residency for those aiming for it.
