The long-awaited Express Entry draw for the
Education category was finally held on May 1.
This draw included candidates in the Early
Childhood Educator (ECE) and Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA)
occupations.
📌 Key Details:
• ✅ Cut-off Score: 479
• ✅ Number of ITAs Issued: 1,000
Compared to general CEC draws, this round saw a significantly
lower cut-off score.
It’s also worth noting that this is the first draw affected by the recent
removal of additional points for job offers.
Since that policy change, only PNP draws—which were
not affected by the job offer change—had taken place.
While it’s unclear how many more
Education-category draws will take place this year, what’s most important
is that eligible candidates prepare early and enter the EE pool with all
qualifications in place.
🎯 We also hope to see a draw
soon for the Trade occupations category, which many are eagerly
awaiting.
