📢 25.2.19 Express Entry Draw – Selection for French Proficiency

On February 19th, there was an EE draw for candidates with high French proficiency.

Details announced this time:❣️

✅Cut-off score: 428 points

✅ITA issued: 6,500

Last year, the IRCC announced some focuses for EE selection.

As mentioned yesterday, candidates within Canada will be prioritized. And as announced today, more opportunities will be given to those with high French proficiency.

Especially, those who are proficient in French and have at least intermediate English skills are in a favorable position for Canadian immigration.

If your French test scores are NCLC level 7 or higher in all areas and your English scores are CLB 5 or higher, your immigration score will increase significantly, and as announced today, a CRS score of 428 points becomes easily achievable.

For those who find French proficiency easy, Canadian immigration is worth considering.

If you are confident in your French skills or are willing to challenge yourself but are not familiar with Canadian immigration, please contact GS Consulting for detailed consultation and take on the challenge of Canadian immigration.

Temporary Suspension of JAL Submissions

Today (February 18), the following information was posted on the SINP website:

“Due to the federal government’s decision to reduce nomination allocations to the SINP by 50 per cent in 2025, the intake of all new Job Approval Forms (JAFs) has been temporarily paused.”

This is due to the federal government's decision to reduce PNP allocations by 50% in 2025.

The most important process for SINP (Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program), is receiving the Job Approval Letter. However, this process has been temporarily suspended. We hope that this suspension will be resolved as soon as possible and that the JAL process will resume.

For those aiming for SINP, it is advisable to take this period as a waiting time rather than worrying too much about the situation, and to prepare for when it reopens.

It seems that cases that have already been submitted are being processed. This is because the cases of GS customers that have been submitted are also being processed.

We will provide further guidance when new information becomes available.

📢 25.2.17 Express Entry Selection – PNP Targeted Selection

On February 17th, there was an EE selection targeting PNP.

The announced details are as follows:❣️

✅Cut-off score: 750 points

✅ITA issued: 646

There have been a total of 6 EE selections in 2025 so far. 3 targeting CEC, and 3 targeting PNP.

As announced last year, the focus has been on selecting candidates within Canada, with CEC being the main target.

The continuous selection of PNP targets is attributed to the 2025 PNP allocation. The provincial immigration quotas for all provinces are being announced by the IRCC. Except for the PNP quota of Newfoundland and Labrador (NL), which negotiated with IRCC to increase the allocation for asylum immigration and Humanitarian and Compassionate immigration, all other provinces received less than 50% of last year's allocation.

Considering this, it is understood that many “PNP only” selections are being made through federal immigration EE.

Nevertheless, due to the still very small PNP quotas for each province, it seems that provincial governments are deeply concerned.

✨ LMIA Approval – Head Chef (High-wage) ✨

The LMIA for the Head Chef position in Vancouver, BC has been approved.

This was a high-wage LMIA. It is the first result of a high-wage case submitted under the LMIA regulations that changed at the end of November last year.

The approval was granted in just 40 days (5.5 weeks) after submission. Considering the current LMIA process trends, this was a remarkably fast review, likely because the employer was subject to REP. The approval was granted without an interview.

Congratulations!

🎉🎉

✅ Submission: January 2, 2025

✅ Result: February 10, 2025 (Total 40 days)

✅ Position: Head Chef – NOC 62200

✅ Location: Vancouver, BC

Types of LMIA submitted:

PR support (support both a work permit application and a permanent residence application)

High-wage

Since it is a high-wage position, a period of 3 years was granted.

Currently, for GS's clients, cases submitted for LMIA without REP are mainly being reviewed and results are starting to come out for cases submitted in May. There are significant delays.

✨ PNP Approval ✨

GS client has received provincial approval.

Congratulations sincerely.

Recently, I heard a shocking story from a certain client.

"Isn't SINP no longer progressing?"

SINP is also progressing well.

However, please consider that the processing period is a bit longer than before.

Progress

PNP Submission: November 7, 2024

PNP Approval: February 12, 2025 (14 weeks required)

The most frequently processed stream in SINP (Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program) is the Existing Work Permit stream, and this case is the same. SINP processing begins after 6 months of work.

Previously, SINP itself used to be approved in about 2-3 weeks, but now it takes more than 10 weeks.

Once the documents are submitted to the federal government, you will continue your life in Canada as a permanent resident within this year.

For inquiries about Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program, please contact GS. ✨

✨ EE Success ✨

GS client has received final permanent residency approval.

Congratulations sincerely.

The process is as follows:

EE registration: March 14, 2024 (CRS 512 points)

ITA received: July 31, 2024 (Cut-off score 510 points)

PR document submission: August 19, 2024

PR portal letter received: November 15, 2024

eCOPR received: February 11, 2025

As mentioned last time, after receiving the PR portal letter, it used to take 1-2 weeks for final permanent residency approval, but nowadays it takes more time. In this case, the PR portal letter was received on November 15, 2024, the final stage of the permanent residency process, but the final permanent residency approval was only granted on February 11, 2025, three months later.

However, looking at the overall content, it is a case where final permanent residency approval was granted six months after receiving the ITA and submitting the permanent residency documents.

At a time when obtaining Canadian permanent residency feels very difficult, more precise and clear consultation is needed. Above all, honest consultation and guidance are essential. ✨

At GS Consulting, we strive to provide a more systematic and professional total solution. ☎️

📢 Announcement of the First Selection of AAIP 25.2

In 2024, Alberta conducted a total of 9,942 cases of PNP, but this year, only 4,875 cases, which is 50% of last year's, have been allocated. All provinces have been allocated only half of last year's cases. While there is room for negotiation with the federal government in the future, AAIP has announced the first selection of this year.

From February 3 to 6, selections were made for three streams.

On February 3, the Rural Renewal Stream, which had not been selected even once in 2024, was selected for the first time. The passing score was 68 points, and a total of 190 invitations were issued.

As emphasized by the federal government, this year, immigration will focus on small towns and regions that need population inflow due to their smaller populations, and the positions needed in each region. Therefore, AAIP is likely to select many candidates for the RRS (Rural Renewal Stream).

On February 5 and 6, selections were made for the Dedicated Health Care Pathway. On the 5th, a total of 70 invitations were issued to candidates with EE profiles, and the passing score was 52 points.

On the 6th, the same selection was made for candidates without EE profiles, and a total of 48 invitations were issued, with a passing score of 50 points.

All provincial governments are contemplating whether to proceed with PNP at 50% of last year's level, as allocated by the federal government, or to negotiate with the federal government to receive more humanitarian immigration cases and proceed with a higher overall PNP level.

Last week, Newfoundland and Labrador negotiated with the federal government to accept 290 humanitarian immigrants over two years, receiving a similar level of PNP allocation as last year. It is expected that this move may influence other provinces.
