📢 BC PNP Draw results for Nov 26, 2024:

On November 26, a BC PNP draw took place! 👀
As promised, BC PNP continues to hold weekly draws, but the number of ITAs issued remains minimal, making the cut-off scores "very high."

As announced by BC PNP earlier on the morning of the 26th, this draw marks the final selection for the current International Graduate Stream. Following this, preparations will go for the launch of three new International Graduate streams, with detailed announcements expected by the end of the year.

Here are the details of yesterday's draw:

For general skilled and semi-skilled positions, only 7 ITAs were issued!

  • General skilled positions (including Skilled Immigration, EEBC, and the International Student Stream): cut-off score 146
  • Semi-skilled positions: cut-off score 125

The targeted occupational draws also had a very limited number of ITAs:

  • ECE (Early Childhood Educators): Fewer than 5 ITAs, cut-off score 102
  • Construction: Fewer than 5 ITAs, cut-off score 108
  • Health Care: Fewer than 5 ITAs, cut-off score 121
  • Veterinary Care: Fewer than 5 ITAs, cut-off score 80

In total, fewer than 27 ITAs were issued in this draw.

Congratulations to all who received an invitation despite the challenging odds! 🎉🎉

If you have any questions about BC PNP or would like to discuss your eligibility, please don't hesitate to contact GS Consulting. ☎️

BC PNP updated news – I.G stream

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) will issue the final invitations to apply (ITAs) for the International Graduate (IG) stream on November 26, 2024, after which the stream will close. Registrants in the IG pool who are not invited will be removed. The launch date for the new student streams will be announced soon.

Starting January 2025, British Columbia (B.C.) will update its Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) to provide clearer pathways and better outcomes for international workers. Key updates include new graduate streams, higher language proficiency requirements, and measures to ensure fairness and protect applicants from exploitation.

Key Updates:

  1. New Graduate Streams
    • The current International Graduate and Post-Graduate streams will be replaced with three new streams:
      • Bachelor’s Stream: For graduates with a bachelor’s degree and an indeterminate full-time job offer.
      • Master’s Stream: For master’s graduates with a minimum one-year skilled full-time job offer.
      • Doctorate Stream: For doctoral graduates or PhD candidates applying directly.
    • Graduates of diploma or certificate programs can still apply through other BC PNP streams.
  2. Language Proficiency Requirements
    • Minimum language levels will increase program-wide, with CLB 8 planned for the new graduate streams.
    • The Health Authority stream remains unchanged.

Why Are Updates Needed?

  • Clarity and Protection: Clearer criteria will help applicants prepare and reduce exploitation by bad actors misrepresenting the program as an "easy pathway" to permanent residency.
  • Economic Contribution: Higher education and language skills improve job stability, earnings, and retention in B.C.’s priority industries.
  • Student Safeguards: Collaboration with education authorities will protect international students from predatory practices.

These changes aim to align the program with labor market needs and enhance the economic success of newcomers.
