On November 19th, the EE draw was
conducted, specifically targeting the CEC candidates.
While the number of ITAs issued remains relatively
low, there are a few encouraging signs.
Key findings from today’s draw:
✅ Cut-off score: 539 points
✅ ITAs issued: 400
Firstly, it’s noteworthy that this is the second
consecutive week where the draw has been focused on CEC candidates. Out of the
total 10 CEC draws conducted in 2024, an average of 2,650 ITAs have been issued
per draw, amounting to a total of 26,500 ITAs issued so far this year.
Moreover, the average interval between CEC draws is 19 days. Considering this, the fact that there was a CEC draw on both the 13th and 19th of this month can be interpreted as a demonstration of the IRCCs commitment. It’s important to note that among all EE programs, CEC offers the highest likelihood of applying for PR within Canada.
This reaffirms the IRCC’s determination.
Secondly, although the same number of 400 ITAs were
issued, the cut-off score on the 13th was 547 points, while today’s
cut-off score is 539 points. While both scores are quite high, the fact that
the cut-off score dropped by 8 points within a week, for the same number of
ITAs issued, is undoubtedly encouraging news for those aspiring to PR.
It’s anticipated that the IRCC will implement a level
plan by reducing the number of ITAs issued until the end of this year and
January next year. Furthermore, it’s not expected that the cut-off score will
significantly decrease next year.
While it’s not advisable to provide only false hole,
it’s equally important to avoid discouraging individuals. Especially for
immigration consulting firms, it’s our duty to provide realistic guidance
rather than misleading promises.
